Because our mission spans many aspects of our students’ education, the PTSA has created committees to address these different areas effectively. Meet the many PTSA committees that work hard to make our school year amazing. If you would like to join one or more of these committees, please let us know!
Student Reflections Committee
The Student Reflections Committee supports the National PTA Reflections Program, which has encouraged students to explore and develop their artistic talents for over 50 years. Each year, students from pre-K through grade 12 create original works of art based on a theme. This year’s theme is “I Belong.” Students may submit work in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, or visual arts. Parents and caregivers can help by promoting participation, assisting with submissions, and celebrating student creativity. Reflections provides opportunities for recognition, builds student confidence, and helps children discover a love for the arts and learning.
Event Planning Committee
The Event Planning Committee brings families and staff together through fun, meaningful activities. This group organizes Teacher Appreciation Week, making sure our educators feel celebrated and valued, and coordinates the annual Fun Run, which promotes fitness and raises funds to support PTSA programs. Committee members work together to handle event logistics, gather supplies, and welcome volunteers. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents who enjoy planning events and helping create memorable experiences for the whole school community.
Montessori Advancement Committee
The Montessori Advancement Committee works to strengthen and support the Montessori program at our school. The goal is to help parents learn more about Montessori practices and find ways to stay engaged in their child’s education. Members also support advocacy and look for resources, such as grants, to benefit our program. This is a meaningful opportunity for families who want to promote and grow Montessori learning in our community.
School Beautification Committee
The School Beautification Committee helps create a welcoming and inspiring environment for students, families, and staff. This group works on indoor and outdoor projects such as planting flowers, maintaining gardens, decorating hallways, and painting murals. Committee members also organize seasonal clean-up days and special projects that encourage students to take pride in their school. This is a wonderful opportunity for families who enjoy creative, hands-on work and want to help make the school shine.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee makes sure families stay connected to what is happening at school. Members manage the PTSA website so that parents can easily find event details, forms, and important announcements. They also create and share updates on social media to keep families informed and engaged. In addition, the committee works to ensure that communication is clear and accessible for all families.
