Back-to-School Night 2017 Recap: Welcome Back Hoyer Families, Membership Challenge

Back-to-School Night was an incredible night for Hoyer families and the PTSA! Thank you so much for stopping by our membership drive and peanut-free tasting tables. It was so great to see new and returning families so excited to work with us this year. Thanks to your support, we reached our initial membership goal of 120. The Judith P. Hoyer Montessori PTSA is now 129-members strong! Thank you for helping us increase our membership by 50% from last year. Since our goal has been met so easily by our Hoyer community, we would like to throw a challenge out to you: can you help us get to 100% membership increase and reach 160 members?

We are planning to get more students involved in the PTSA this year. We have big plans, including playground improvements, and we would LOVE to get input from the people these plans would impact the most. We currently have 11 student members, and we hope that as more join, each grade level can appoint representatives to speak for the interest of their classes and peers at PTSA meetings, committees, and events. No better time for our future civic leaders to start than now!

Thank you so much once again for your continued support of the PTSA. We are super-excited for this coming year, and are looking forward to working with everyone to make a BIG difference in our students' education.
